Fix your eyes on Jesus

When we are going through hard seasons it might be hard to keep our gaze on Jesus, especially when the problem is in front of us and it’s overwhelming. But as children of God, we must keep our eyes on him so we don’t drown in our sins and drift away into the hands of the enemy.

Trusting in the Lord

Trust in the Lord forever, for the Lord God is an everlasting rock- Isaiah 26:4  To fully trust, is to consistently rely and depend on something or someone irrespective of the wavering systems of life. Trusting can be hard, especially when you have been doing it for a long time and it seems like nothing is working or it appears... Continue Reading →

Focus on eternal treasures

Instead of letting our minds be consumed by things that overwhelm us, we should concentrate on what brings us peace and true life. As believers, we should strive to solely focus our minds on Christ. This means we must discipline our minds to think of “whatever is true, honourable, just, pure, lovely, commendable, excellence, or worthy of praise” (Philippians 4:8).

God does not tempt

13 When tempted, no one should say, “God is tempting me.” For God cannot be tempted by evil, nor does he tempt anyone; 14 but each person is tempted when they are dragged away by their own evil desire and enticed. 15 Then, after desire has conceived, it gives birth to sin; and sin, when it is full-grown, gives birth to death.... God is too organised

God is the creator of the world. In the beginning, He created everything in heaven and on earth. The earth was without structure and without form. So God stepped in and He brought structure to our world. His creation is so amazing that it leaves us in awe of him. God is a master organiser,... Continue Reading →

A surrendering heart

it is the decision of a King to do whatever He wants. Family or no family, children, or no children. The King has discipline, and He has principles and guidelines that anyone in His kingdom must not break- even His children. And the thing about a King regardless of whether you come to Him to bring a good idea or to ask him for something- He has the authority to say Yes or No. If He says yes, then good but if he says no, then it’s still good. You must accept and still serve Him. No matter what or however frustrated or angry you may feel towards him, you still have to serve him as if he said Yes to you.

Identity in Christ

Our physical identity is made up of our memories, experiences, relationships, culture, background, personality, beliefs (our faith), character and values that help us to create a continuous sense of who we are during our time here on earth. Our identity is part of who we are. It is also made up of our future self,... Continue Reading →

Waiting

Waiting means that you are practising being strong, you are building your strength, encouraging your heart, and meditating on God’s words and his promises for your life- (Psalm 27:14). When you wait in whatever situation you are in, you will be strengthened (Isaiah 40:31).  Waiting and being patient on the Lord, brings God’s blessings (Isaiah... Continue Reading →
