Be encouraged, God will take care of you. He will take care of all your needs, even the ones that seem heavy in your eyes.
Matthew 6:25-34 is a beautiful reminder that God really loves us and will take care of everything we need here on earth.
- Look at the birds of the air, for they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they?
God provides food for the birds in the air without them having to struggle for food. God is the provider for every living thing He created. Everything God creates, He is also able and capable of feeding, providing, and taking care of.
You are more valuable than birds, just think to yourself, “If God can provide food for every bird, He can provide whatever I need for me”. God considers us more valuable than birds, so see yourself as much more valuable than your problems.
Remember that your problems are just distractions set to make you lose focus of how much God freely wants to bless you.
- If God so clothes the grass of the field, which today is, and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, will He not much more clothe you, O you of little faith?
Look around you, see all the creations of God, and ask yourself how they are been maintained and taken care of. Well, I can tell you, God is the one that takes care of everything. Trust him to take care of you. Depend on God because He is very dependable. The lilies, birds, grass etc all depend on him, why can’t you?!
God is very dependable!
Take some time to reflect on areas of your life that seem difficult in this season. Write down what is stopping you from completely letting go and trusting that God will take care of things- is it worry, anxiety, love of being in control, lack of trust, or unbelieve? Once you have identified this, then ask the Holy Spirit to help you work through them! Do not be in denial otherwise, you will miss the opportunity to change, grow and learn.
Be honest with yourself, because freedom comes when you practice self-honesty and self-awareness!
Prayer:
Lord, help my unbelieve. Help me to believe that you will take care of my every need. Help me to trust in you and what you are capable of doing. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
