Our Help

Nothing can hinder the Lord from saving, whether by many or by few – (1 Samuel 14:6).

Whom the Lord loves, He also protects. The Lord shields all his children from the dangers of life.

Many “help” are available in the world today, and as a result, the Bible and Jesus as a primary source of help have now been neglected or ignored.

But we the children of God must know that help is constantly available to us at any second of the day.

God loves us so much and He will do anything to make sure that we are protected and safe from the attacks and plans of the enemy.

We must know that if God is for us “No weapon fashioned against us shall prosper” (Isaiah 54:17). God is our source of help and our protector from all the battles we face. We are promised that “the Lord will rescue us from every evil deed and bring us safely into his heavenly kingdom (2 Timothy 4:18). We can rest assured that the Lord will keep us from all evil; he will save our lives. The Lord will keep our going out and our coming in from this time forth and forevermore (Psalm 121:7-8). In Him, we can find our safety and peace.

Life can be so challenging and so hard to cope with at times but we are encouraged in Psalm 138:7 that even though we walk in the midst of trouble, God will preserve our life; He stretches out His hand against the wrath of our enemies, and His right hand delivers us.

When we need to hide from the world and when we need a hiding place, God promises to help, we can rely on him as our hiding place. The Lord is a hiding place for us; He preserves us from trouble; He surrounds us with shouts of deliverance (Psalm 32:7).

As children of God we can confidently declare that Even though we walk through the valley of the shadow of death, we will fear no evil, for the Lord is with us; His rod and His staff, they comfort us (Psalm 23:4).

No matter who may be against us or who may rise up against us, as a child of God we can boldly say that the Lord is our helper; we will not fear; what can man do to us? (Hebrews 13:6). God alone is our rock and our salvation, our fortress; we shall not be greatly shaken (Psalm 62:2). The Lord promises to deliver us from all our enemies, O our God; He will protect us from those who rise up against us (Psalm 59:1).

As we live our lives and our days are numbered, we can trust in the Lord and in the comfort of His word as He declares to us saying “even to your old age I am he, and to gray hairs I will carry you. I have made, and I will bear; I will carry and will save ” (Isaiah 46:4) and the Lord will keep you from all evil; he will keep your life (Psalm 121:7).

We have our strength in the God of Israel therefore we will overcome and we can have full confidence that whatever may come, God will protect us from all plans and attacks of the enemy.

The Lord will fight for us, and we have only to be silent (Exodus 14:14). Many may rise up against us but our God is mighty and powerful.
