For the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart (Hebrews 4:12).
We have been given a manual that holds every single solution that we need and contains answers to questions we might have as Christians. The Bible has been around for many years and with it, many were led to Christ and with the same Scripture, many have been restored spiritually and are now living the life God has called them to.
The Scripture highlights God’s principles for different areas of life. It also outlines his ways, characters and his heart. To know God truly, we must know his Word. The only way to God’s heart is to know and understand his Word and do all that it says.
There is power in the Word of God, it is living and active. Anything that is called living means that it’s alive, it’s breathing, moving, existent, etc.
The word of God is full of energy, full of life. It can penetrate to the very core of our being where soul, spirit, bone and marrow meet.
This means that the power that is in the Word of God is powerful to move in areas that are hidden in the human eyes but only seen by God. The Word can heal broken hearts and every disease. It also interprets and reveals the true thoughts and secret motives of our hearts. The word of God is the Truth of God and it can cut into our souls and root out what is not of God and leave only what’s of God.
Likewise, the Word of God is given by divine inspiration and it’s useful for instruction, for conviction [of sin], for correction, for training in righteousness [learning to live in conformity to God’s will, both publicly and privately—behaving honourably with personal integrity and moral courage]. 2 Timothy 3:16
When we take the time to apply the Word in areas of our lives, it will work for us. No effort made to know, understand and follow the Word of God will ever go to waste.
There is no problem the Word of God can not fix and no weight too heavy for the Word to carry.
